About Us

At the National Center for Unwanted Firearms Inc., our mission is to accept and responsibly dispose of or repurpose unwanted firearms and promote firearm safety and awareness in local communities.
The National Center for Unwanted Firearms is a 501-C3 Charitable Organization, founded in 2017, by Federal Law Enforcement professionals, who recognized the need to create a collection service for unwanted firearms throughout the communities of the United States. We provide a safe method of disposing of unwanted firearms and keep them from the hands of individuals who would use them for illegal or unsafe purposes. Our goal is to educate the public about the economic, social and environmental benefits of responsible gun ownership. ABOUT OUR FACILITY The National Center for Unwanted Firearms located in Helena, Montana is a modern secure facility staffed by knowledgeable firearms professionals and support staff. Our unwanted firearms receiving department screens, inventories, inspects, and makes an onsite determination whether to destroy or repurpose the unwanted firearms.
